One of the prettiest venues in the south of England, Upwaltham Barns is a set of traditional flint long barns surrounded by the beautiful South Downs. The love and care poured into the restoration of the Barns is reflected in the warm and friendly atmosphere of this family-owned venue.

Upwaltham Barns consists of three interior areas; the East Barn, the South Barn and the Bar. Exposed beams and brickwork in both barns make this venue beautifully rustic and romantic. The East Barn is licensed for civil wedding and partnership ceremonies for up to 150 guests and is equally suitable for a drinks reception. Its original stonework, wooden beams and neutral colour tones create a warm, tranquil atmosphere. Also licensed for civil ceremonies, The South Barn can seat 160 guests for dining and up to 200 for an evening reception. The barn’s wooden beams are entwined with dazzling fairy lights and recesses in the brick walls can be decorated with tea lights, making this spacious barn wonderfully intimate. The adjoining Bar has leather sofas, rugs, and a woodburner for an authentic cosy, country feel.

There are several outdoor areas at Upwaltham Barns. The wonderful cottage gardens have been lovingly maintained and decorated with beautiful flowers. The Courtyard at the heart of the venue is a wonderful place for a drinks reception, canapés, hog roast or barbecue. The Moroccan-style snug area with plumped out cushions and tea lights is a cosy place for guests to retreat to throughout the day.

In addition, the French inspired Jasmine Cottage is available for the wedding couple on the day and night of the wedding. It has been beautifully decorated with gorgeous fabrics and vintage furniture.
